can i get a free phone from verizon if switch to family plan?

So i have this really crapy phone and i want to get a new one so my mom has a phone from verizon and she has an individual plan so if she switches to a family plan from verizon could i get a free phone i really want to know fast cuz the faster i know the more of a chance i might get it
