I have a mini ATX form motherboard and therefore only has 2 SATA connectors on it. When i tried to get my hitachi 59 into modeb using slax i had to connect the xbox hitachi drive and my pc dvd drive to my motherboard but disconnected my hdd. the hitachi was being powered by the Xbox. Slax booted and all was well, it gave me the spinning disc message (i didnt know how to open the dvd tray though) and i got to the log on screen. I powered off the PC, becuase i had to connect my hdd again (this meant disconnecting my dvd drive). when i tried to boot from my hdd it gave me the error DISK BOOT FAILURE, PLEASE INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER. I tried changing boot orders in bios but it kept giving me the same error. I gave up and reconnected the PC' dvd drive and powered off the xbox. Thereafter windows booted normally. Is there a way to get the drive into modeb without needing more than 2 sata ports? not jungleflasher, I dont have a VIA chipset.
Can I flash my Xbox 360 (hitachi) with only 2 SATA ports?
