...and he was 35 yrs old.? When I was 16 yrs old, my innocence was taken away by a 35 year old, member of my church. He was also the brother of a puppy love that I had. Although this happened 23 years ago, I have never been able to be myself.

The mental abuse that I endure while he was taken my innocence has vividly remained on my mind. I suffer from a low self esteem, depression and lately I have been very emotional.

Given that all you've got is your accusation against his likely denial, unless there is a pattern of this behavior and you can round up others who will report they too were taken advantage of, your chances in court are pretty low.

Even if this man were punished, you'd still have the memories to deal with. Even if he were dead, you'd still have the pain to get handled. Might as well get started with it and take your life back.

he must be guilty otherwise the god
