Can I enter Military Intelligence 35M (Human Intelligence Collector) as a officer? I’m going to basic next month, but I have an M.B.A. My recruiter told me that I can’t joint 35M (Human Intelligence Collector as an officer. I ask because I scored 102 in the part a had to score 110 to enter as an officer. I told him that I wanted to take the test again. Since I didn’t study for it because he told me not to do it, since he believed I was ready to take it.

So that’s my question. Is he telling the truth? Or can I actually join M.I 35M as an officer.

There is another thing going on. If in fact I can enter as an officer, what can I do if am scheduled to ship at the end of April?

Thanks !!

No, you cannot hold an enlisted MOS as an officer. If you retake the ASVAB later, you can apply for OCS and you MAY be able to become a Military Intelligence officer, but there is no guarantee you would get that field. The only way to make sure you get the field and specific job you want is to enlist.

35m is an enlisted job
if you want to go officer then you have to specifically sign up for OCS. you get to state your preference for what field you want to go into there.
tell your recruiter that you want to retake the asvab or you will renig on your contract. no the military wont sue you and the MPs wont come after you or anything. if you go in as a 35m you will have to wait a couple of years until you qualify for the green to gold program.
welcome to the world of knowing your recruiter: he'll tell you any lie to get you as a number towards his quota.
i dont think recruiters deal with people going into OCS, so you'll have to
get a new contract
