can i dye my eyebrows with hair dye? has anyone done this?

i'm planning on dying my hair soon a little darker ash brown (im kind of light golden brown, and i dont like the red) and my eyebrows, i don't really like them but i can't pin point why. they're long and lighter and they don't look full (not thick wise, but like dense wise). i think it may be the color of them that i don;t like. i know hair dyes say that you shouldn't use it on your eyebrows because it can cause blindness. i'm planning on using a brow brush with a little dye and wearing my tanning goggles over my eyes so i won't get dye in them. besides this, is there anything bad about doing this? what makes it different from the 35$ brow kit i found at sally beauty supplies?
