Can I drive legally in Florida with my NYS Learner's permit and a parent in the car?

We are going to Florida for vacation (not becoming residents so this question is not about obtaining a Florida permit) and I want to know if it would be legal for me to drive with my mom or dad in the state of Florida. I am 16 years old.
