Can i drive a car with messed up fender?

i got into an accident 2 months ago. someone hit me from behind and the fender is messed up, the stoplight is broken, bumper is broken, exhaust is broken also and the car still runs but is Really LOUD. the insurance marked it as totaled... i need to drive the car to go to work until i make the money to buy another one. what happens if i get pulled over? or what should i do not to get pulled over? should i just put some bulbs where the broken stoplight is and a red plastic bag? Please Help me
