Can I do a major in Business Administration and a minor in Theatre ?

Ok heres the thing, i am going to start college in January and i dont really know what major and minor means like you pick your major and minor after doing the basics? or before?? and can i study business administration and theatre ?? explain me a lill bit of that, thank you
