I have a Samsung SyncMaster 2033BW 24" monitor and an nVidia 9800GT graphics card.
Every time I open up a game that doesn't have a resolution of at least 1600 x 1200 my monitor will pop-up with a little window in the middle of the screen telling me "it is not currently an optimum resolution. Recommended resolution is: 1920 x 1200."
Of course, because the game is so old, there just isn't a resolution so high. Even so the monitor eventually just goes into a "stand-by" mode which just leaves me with a blank screen until I alt + tab out of the game.
Does anyone know if I can fix this problem?
