I am a licensed exotic dancer. This means rather than being "employed" by the club, I am essentially "renting" their stage and venue in which I can dance and entertain - very much the same way a musician or comedian would pay to rent a theater to perform a show.
I have heard of some dancers visiting Vegas, who sometimes perform in clubs during their stay. I was wondering how that works and if I, being somewhat of a "no-name", could do it as well. I will be making trips to New York and Kentucky soon and I am interested in making moonlight appearances at other clubs while I visit.
To clarify, my question is: Being that I have an Entertainer's License, would I be able to perform as a guest dancer at other clubs out of town by "renting" their stage and venue? Is it possible to have my people call their people, fill out the appropriate paper work, show the proper credentials, and perform at a their club for the night?
