I have a 10gal tank up and running and is fully cycled and has been running for 3 months now. Water is clear and quality is perfect! Now, I just got a 25gal and I'm wondering if I can cycle it with my betta? I put some of the media that was in the 10gal in the filter of the 25gal and I also put a couple plants that was in the 10gal in the 25. Can I put my betta in so the bacteria that I put in won't die? Should I put some water from the 10gal in the 25 as well? I don't get paid for another week and want to start cycling it right away so I can't go to the store and get the stuff I need until a week away. Will doing it this way work?
