can I cook shortbread in a pyrex casserole dish instead of a shortbread mold?

I don't want to or have the time to buy a shortbread mold to cook shortbread for Christmas, so I was wondering if a pyrex casserole dish will do. And if so will I need to add some tinfoil or maybe spay it will butter flavored pan? Thxz for any advice
 
iv done it before use ur butter spray altho make sure u check them a cooking time will change slightly depending on resp
