Can i "convert" my mountain bike to a freeride bike?

you should be able too. the big differences i notice in the different types of dual suspension bikes are the brakes, the fork and the rear shock. all the frames are pretty much the same

I have an Iron Horse Warrior 6.0. Its considered an all mountain bike by most people, and a trail bike by the rest. But, later down the road I'd like to have a freeride. And i was thinking that maybe i could just change the existing Rock Shox fork with a freeride Rock Shox fork. And then replace the the rear shock with a freeride. Basically is this even possible. I've fiogured when it comes to name brand bikes; the only part that is say IronHorse, DB, Trek, etc. is the frame. Everything else is other brands. So if this is possible let me know. Thanks!
