I am trying to connect my old PC (Sony VAIO, circa 2003) to my HD TV (720p). The PC only has a VGA output (no DVI or HDMI), and the TV has HDMI inputs, but no VGA. I have a VGA to HDMI Converter Adapter, but it doesn't seems to be working. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002N8O10W/ref=oss_product
When connected and I start the PC, I can see the "Sony", "Intel", and "Windows" logos appear on the TV, but then goes blank when Windows XP would start. I tried changing the resolution on the PC, but nothing seemed to work. Any ideas? Am I going about this wrong?
