can i connect a iMac to a Windows workgroup?

I want to connect a iMac to a windows workgroup, that is connected together wirelessly.

the reason for this is that my printer is connected to a windows computer that acts as a printer server, and the printer server is far away from my iMac

any help is appreciated. thanks
