Can I claim educational garnishment onto my taxes?

In the past I've added education onto my taxes for a tax break. But now things have changed a little. To make a long story short, Sallie Mae is garnishing my wages for a partially paid student loan. They started last year. It states I can add the interest paid onto a student loan to my taxes, but my case is kind of different. Can anyone help??
Okay thanks - but 2 different answers hmm. So they're about to stop the garnishment, in which I will start making payments so will this mean NEXT YEAR with the money I'll be paying them, I'll be able to claim it on my taxes - sorry but I'm in the middle of doing my taxes tonight. Thanks!!
