From one extreme to the other! Vista changed Paint's default format from BMP (no compression) to JPEG (fuzzifying, lossy compression).
I just got a new laptop and I can already see my beloved Paint becoming a terror to use. As an aspiring game developer, it's unsettling to know that careless saving will ruin my small 14x14 graphics.
Can I make it default to .PNG or .BMP?
If it isn't possible to change, then I have another question:
Due to the timing of this laptop's purchase, I'm allowed a free upgrade to Windows 7 when it comes out. Does anybody know if Windows 7 changed Paint's default save format to something less... destructive?
