I purchased a new phone from AT&T online (new customer) and in an email I received regarding shipment they provided me with my new cell phone number assignment. I live in NYC and want to get a new number with a different area code than the one provided. Will I be able to have the assigned number changed before I activate the phone without having to pay the $35 fee.
Can I change the phone number AT&T provided me with before I activate my phone?
