I share 50/50 custody of my children with ex-wife. In the divorce decree I claim one child and she claims the other. I want to change it so I can claim both children. It should also be noted I provide their health insurance, pay 1500 per month child support, and 1000 in alimony. I am clearly providing more for them and the change to me seems like a no brainer.
Can I change the divorce decree and claim both kids on my taxes?
