Can I change my ship date for USMC boot camp?

I ship out for boot camp in the middle of May 09. I have been in DEP for 2 months. I would like 1-2 extra months to spend time with my family and prepare. Is this possible? I would also have to keep my Infantry MOS.

Also, is this a big deal? If I do get my ship date extended a month or two, will the DIs at boot camp know about it? Haha...thanks...
