my pre-existing AT&T contract? I am currently on an AT&T family plan, and I purchased a Samsung Eternity when I signed up for my contract during the summer of 2009. My phone broke, and I'm looking into options other than replacing it through AT&T. I saw an unlocked Blackberry Storm 9530 on Amazon for $150 and I'm considering purchasing it if I will be able to use it on my AT&T plan without adding a $30/month data package (which I simply cannot afford). I know that AT&T has a policy of forcing a data package on you if you purchase an iPhone from 3rd party dealers if they see that it's using the phone number registered to your AT&T account; would they do the same for the Storm (and other smartphones), or is that an iPhone-exclusive policy?
