Can I branch into other areas after getting my RN?

I'm planning on going to nursing school and getting a RN but I want to keep a lot of options opened and i'm wondering if there's more opportunities... (obviously further studying too) after getting a RN, like i can study such and such to become another maybe more specific job because i'm not sure i want to work in a hospital the rest of my life. Thanks
