It's a little iLuv stereo with two places to plug in the speakers that came with it, and I have two speakers that I have saved from an old RCA system that broke a while back, as well as a subwoofer I forgot to mention the first time. Can I just plug the RCA speakers and SW in on top of the iLuv ones? I don't want to overload it or have it catch on fire or something (I know absolutely nothing about what I'm dealing with here haha), but I need better sound! Any ideas?
Here's the information straight off of everything. I typed it how it appeared on the sticker.
RCA Speaker 1:
Main Speaker
High Frequency
Impedance: 8 ohm
Rated Power: 50W
Woofer
Low Frequency
Impedance: 6ohm
Rated Power: 100W
RCA Speaker 2:
Same as RCA Speaker 1
RCA SW:
Impedance: 6ohm
Rated Power: 100W
iLuv Speakers had no information, but this is what was on the back of the stereo itself.
Power Source: AC 120V, 60HZ, 35Watts
I just found that on the back of each iLuv speaker, it says Impedance: 3ohms, if that makes any difference.
