I have the factory Vehicle Theft Security System on my 2007 Chrysler Pacifica. The alarm will not sound unless one of the doors are opened or the wrong (non-matching computer key) is inserted in the ignition. Someone can break my window and slide in without opening a door and the alarm will not sound.
Recently, cars in my area have been broken into. Car stereos and other property was stolen so I would like to add a glass sensor and/or shock sensor to my factory alarm. Is that possible? Will an alarm installer know how?
The door sensors are wired into the body control module and, in turn, to the vehicle computer so it is a little too complicated for me. Will an alarm installer know how?
