I have a DirecTV box with HD, but no DVR. I can go through the menu and get the network to access, but I'm curious if media sharing is only available through the DVR option. The computer detected the DirecTV connection and the DirecTV can access the network successfully. However, I can't seem to populate the media sharing options. What that basically means is though both devices can see each other they seem to lack a format to communicate.
Can I access Media Sharing on DirecTV with an HD receiver/box, but without a DVR?
