Can girls take a joke?

So when i first asked my girl out, she said do i dare? she said you might regret it... i was like why she was like i can be a handful. Now each time she is handful she is like see told you u made a mistake, and i would play around and be like yeah your right i think i need sometime to think if this is going to work and i would laugh and be silly. She knows i care about her because i treat her like a princess, and also she is the one who started it so i carried it on, can girls take a joke like this? or should next time i ask her if she gets cut?
