...to my Jeep Wrangler's auto trans? I recently got the auto trans flushed (at a Midas) in my 02 Jeep Wrangler (4.0) with 34,000 miles. Afterward, I drove all the way home (about 30 miles) without checking the transmission fluid because I knew it would expand while driving. I checked it once I got home and saw that it was pretty darn low (turned out to be one and a half quarts low). Now, I'm completely paranoid that I damaged the transmission. I didn't notice any slipping or dysfunction while driving home, but it did finally shift harsh going from first to second gear while pulling up to Autozone (literally!). After filling it, everything has been operating completely fine. The fluid smells unbelievably terrible, but it doesn't smell burnt at all. It's still a very nice, reddish pink in color. Is it possible I caused any damage?
