Can drinking too much affect the cycle?

Okay I know this sounds bad, but last Saturday night I had a little too much to drink and had acute alcohol posining. I ended up going to the hospital and everything. I completely regret the night and don't need anyone telling me how bad my choice was. However what I need to know is if drinking can affect periods? I was suppost to start two days ago and haven't and was wondering if alcohol could be a factor as to why I'm late. Thank you!
 
It can postpone it for about a week. But, you might not remember the whole night, in which case, your period may be pushed back as far as 2 weeks.

If you are a virgin, as far as you know, you can have the doctors check to make sure that that is still a true statement.

But in the future, never drink to the point that you can't hold your own thought and remember what was going on. And if you ever throw up, stop drinking, that means you are close to suffering from alcohol poisoning.
