I'm 21 years old, 5'6 , 230lbs. I went to the ER about a month ago because of chest pain and palpitations. Well I had an EKG taken and all we good there. Doc came back and said its Costochondritus.

More symptoms arose the passed couple of weeks, such as sharp pain from arms to hands, and sharp pain from legs to toes, also have recently been clenching my teeth and have dents in my tounge? The pain radiates on both sides of my chest now and is more painful that usual. Also have some sharp pains in my stomach and random bursts of head aches. Some days are better than others but its starting to worry me. Any advice or suggestions on whats going on with me.

Can Costochondritus cause these other pains if its bad enough. The pain in my chest does go away when i take a couple of mortrin/advil. if i sit and play games for to long the pain worsens. could this also be lack of excersise? PLease leave some advice or comments I would be much appreciated. thanks

I'd recommend you see a specialist, a rheumatologist, to make sure nothing else is going on. The great thing about specialists is that they can spend a lot more time than ER docs/PCPs to help figure out what's going on. Good luck!
