I worked for them as their nanny for 2 years and they were very gracious and helped me get a car by cosigning for it. I made every payment for over a year and a half . They fired me 3 days before Christmas over something they were told by someone they barely know that was totally untrue (really irrelevant but it could come up in court ) . Not only was it hurtful but I could get in a ton of trouble and fired from another job if it ever came up. The person who said these ridiculous things had reason to be vindictive. Needless to say after being fired I have been having trouble financially. I was a few days late (35) enough for it to be on his credit due to some error at the western union counter.I went out of town and was unaware that the payment did not go through.Once i found out i fixed the problem and it was sent through. He , not able to get in touch with me , pays not one but two of my notes (before he knew I had paid it) . If he was worried about his credit , he really only needed to pay one payment but instead he pays two! Not to mention the one that I sent . Well, once I returned , he demanded the car back. I willingly gave it to him to avoid trouble . He plans to sell the car and have me pay the difference. The problem is I do not and probably will not have several thousand dollars any time soon. If I did happen to strike it rich..lol... I would not feel it necessary to pay thousands of dollars for a car that i had for a little over a year and a half , used mostly for toting his children, who i love dearly, around. SO I have now been informed that they are planning on taking me to court. My question is .. Can they actually sue me for the difference being that they demanded the car and also since its in their name also? Any suggestions? Also, would it be likely that the reason they fired me be brought up in court??? PLEASE HELP!!! Thanks in advance and god bless!
