Can coconut oil always replace butter in cooking?

Hi, I've used coconut oil a few times in cooking but I'd like to know can it always replace butter? For eg, can it replace it when making a roux or if not, what should I use? I want to make a bechemel sauce but I don't know what to replace the butter with.
In baking, what quantities should I use when replacing the butter with coconut oil? Can I always replace it or only in some cases?
In things like quiches, what can I use instead of butter (not margarine either)?
