We have a 6ft rat cage that would be perfect for either rats or birds. Since our bird cage fell and broke, I've been tempted to section it in half and put the 3 rats on bottom and 2 cockatiels on top. Does anyone know if this will cause health issues for either of them, provided I give it a thorough cleaning?
