Can bent handlebars on my road bike be repaired?

I wrecked my road bike (a Gary Fisher ARC Super) the other day and noticed that the handlebars on the left side are bent inward a little bit. Can a bike shop bend these back out or do I have to buy completely new handlebars?

Bending it back is not a great idea. Although I did see a bike mechanic at performance bending a frame back the other day. LOL! That bike was done and the guy needed a new frame. Good thing handle bars are easy to replace, although your never want to have to replace stuff. You must have taken some fall for the bars to bend in that manner. I wander is it is just the brake lever too?

If it's just your brake lever you can grab it at the bottom close to the bars and turn it back. If it's the bars it will depend on the amount its bent.

If the bars are lightweight alloy, rebending them wouldn't be the wisest choice. Replacement would be in order if there's any doubt about structural damage to the bars.

It is not advisable to bend it back, this weaken the material if your bar is carbon fibre I don't think can bent, best is get a new bar.
