Can bad sleep patterns leave you to feel dizzy/sick?

On thursday night i didnt go to bed to finish a project, i drank a lot of caffeine through the day, and when i got home i couldn't fall asleep because of all the coffee i drank, and had a really bad headache.
My roommates had a party so i didnt end up going to sleep until 6am saturday morning, and then i woke up at 8pm. I tried to start a huge assignment i have due in a few days but i didn't feel well and was really drowsy, but didn't end up sleeping until 7am, and woke up at 7pm again... and the same thing will happen tonight. i noticed when i got out of bed i almost fell over and i felt really weird and light headed. i had something to eat but im still feeling weird in the head, like i have the "spins" kind of. Is this from my horrendous lifestyle lately? Would my sleeping too little then too much and not eating cause my to feel dizzy and weird?
