My boyfriend is going into the army this upcoming July. He has a contract as a scout or 19 delta for 3 1/2 years. After this contract he wants to come back and do reserves for about a year or so, then go back on an active duty contract. He wants to do this off and on for 20 years, after 20 years he's gonna retire from the army and come back. Is he allowed to switch back and forth and is it much hassle to do so?
Can army soldier switch back and forth between active duty contracts and the reserves?
