Can anyone tell me who wrote this poem and what it means?

How easy is it to look at a man?
All you need is eyes
And brows to shade your thinking
Yes, and all you need is some notions
Just don’t forget that behind those fingers lie emotions
Pop singers have fun and dark-shaded glasses on their mind
And old folks have cataracts and records too
But will you really remember them when a new candy CD has its debut?
How easy is it to look at a friend?
All you need is eyes
And lids to close them when they reach for help
Yes, and all you need is an open door
One to slam in the face of the one’s you ignore
The radio will pour out crackle with aggression and fluidity
Catchy jingles and youth will pay for the thick, designer sheets they wear
And you’ll move on just as soon as they’ve been made a millionaire
Time causes change and change causes time
As words are written, so is the music that accompanies them
But do I let my thoughts change to make more for that diamond gem?
I want to know what lives behind the present
The present is too full of the remains of the ruined past
And the future moves too vainly and fast
But tell me,
Do you know how easy it is to look at a real man?
One whose feet walk the floor
One whose words touch insides
One who earns as much as he gives
One who plays on wood, not buttons
And one who avoids the phonies, the greedies, and the gluttons.
