...and reign of king james the first? i am taking it to auction tomorrow with dickensons real deal and they have put a reserve price of 75 pounds on it. people tell me it shouldnt go for less than a thousand pounds.help
 
Have you had it appraised? That should give you an idea of what the value approximately is based upon its condition, age, etc.

Also, though you may get the lower end price of such a book, try running its title through Alibris (www.alibris.com) or AbeBooks (www.abebooks.com). Both are online vendors (similar to Amazon) that deal with older books frequently. You could also check eBay.
