I have to write a report on a literary magazine and I was looking for one with a good history, maybe one that faced some obstacles due to the material it was publishing or something like that.
The New Yorker has a long history and is famous for publishing writers like Salinger, John Cheever -- and a bunch of famous folks whose names I haven't had enough coffee to remember. More than one best-selling book has been written about the magazine, itself -- among them, James Thurber's very funny "My Years with Ross."
