...scripture as proof ....? ...of the Trinity teaching? JUST ONE time. And, the scripture that says, "In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit" does not qualify, because that doesn't support the Trinity at all. I could say, "In the name of the law, I tell you to stop!" "name" does not always signify a person.
FIREBALL: Being baptized in all three does not prove they are ONE Triune God, with 3 different beings.
I'm asking for ONE scripture to show all three are ONE. I realize people use the scripture "I and the Father are one" to try and prove it (even though when two people get married, the Bible speaks of them as ONE because they are one in purpose, but not ONE human being)....but still, the Holy Spirit is left out of that...and in order to even HAVE a Trinity, there has to be THREE.
The 3 men talked about in the OT was not referring to that.
GERTY: Genesis 1:26 is God talking to his first creation (as the Bible says), his Son Jesus.
What about when I had my babies, and I said to my husband, "Wow, she looks like US!!!"
MEADOW: Sorry, but those aren't proof scriptures. First of all, God said "THIS IS MY SON" (not this is ME).
Second, I could say, "In the name of me, my child and my husband, we want you to get off our property". Does that signify ONE being in three?
COMPUTER: i have NEVER seen the word "Godhead" in the Bible. Could you enlighten me?
