Can anyone share their experience with switching cell service from ATT to T-Mobile

in Washington DC? I'm hoping to switch my cell service from ATT to T-Mobile but am a little worried with the reception in the Washington DC. How is T-Mobile for not only call quality, but also email, web browser, and other 3G activities?
