Can anyone recommend something interesting nonfiction books relating to chemistry?

In my AP Chemistry class my teacher wants us to read a nonfiction book having to do with chemistry. She said she was open to suggestions, but I didn't want to read something that was about as interesting as a textbook.

I like nonfiction with a bit of humour to it, though that may be hard to find...I like the works of Feynman and Asimov a lot when it comes to science in general, outside of science but still in nonfiction I like Jim Collins and the Opposing Viewpoints series (I also like philosophy, but that's a little far off)

So if you have any recommendations that aren't remotely like reading textbooks, preferably with a bit of humour to keep me interested, please let me know.

And to give an idea of what my teacher wants, these are the ones that she will have us choose from:
The Ghost Map
The Chemical History of a Candle
A Brief History of Time
Uncle Tungsten.
I would like something less dry that will still be of interest.
