Can anyone recommend me a movie?

I would like to watch a movie similar to Open Water, The Blair Witch Project, Paranormal Activity, Frozen etc.

Suspensful movies with an element of horror, usually about survival, that have limited characters, and take place in one location. I'd rather they didn't have lots of blood and gore, and instead they leave it to your imagination.

I love The Blair Witch Project. Paranormal Activity was a good watch too (although I prefered the ending that didn't air in theatres.. it was a lot more disturbing). I enjoyed Open Water. Frozen was enjoyable too but I don't think it's as good as the others.

Danny Boyle's 127 Hours is another film in this vein that I'm looking forward to.

Does anyone know of any others? Films like Cast Away and Into The Wild are also the sort of movies I'm looking for, but while I really enjoyed them, they involved a lot of other locations and normal life as well as the whole survival aspect.

I've probably seen others, but I can't think of any right now. If anyone has a recommendation I would love to hear it! Thank you!

If you don't like gore, than going by reviews and walk outs 127 Hours, it has one particulary graphic and realistic scene that has made people walk out. Unless just one graphic scene is fine compared to none in the rest of the film. You mean full on gore after gore scene?

I recommend The Killing Room(don't let the title put you off), and Exam. The Orphanage is a good Horror.

Antichrist has only two main characters. It has some really graphic scenes but I wouldn't say it was a gory horror.

You could try Sleuth - There's the original or the remake to choose from.

A couple of others are Dead Calm and Rogue.

Eden Lake is very good. Suspense.. horror.. jumpy etc.,
ps If Op is looking for a survival film then this is it....It is also not overly gory at all.

I don't mind gore if done right (I love the french horror 'Inside', which is extremely gorey).. but I prefer movies that use actual suspense rather than lots of gore and jumpy moments.

Thank you for the recommendations. The Killing Room is actually on my list of movies that I haven't got around to watching yet. I'll check out Exam and The Orphanage too.

But I was really looking for realistic feeling survival movies with an element of horror. Not full on horrors.

Severance is good. It's a funnier and less gory version of Hostel.

Small company (or department of a company) go on a team building weekend.....and it goes a bit wrong. Most of the film takes place in and around their cabin.

Not so good if you're not keen on Danny 'effing & jeffing' Dyer...
