can anyone recommend an author similar to knut hamsun?

I know that it is almost asking the impossible because in my humble opinion hamsun was the greatest writer of fiction and still holds that crown. it has taken me 10 years to track down all of Hamsun's novels and a lot of cash for some of the rarer ones but now i have read them all I don't know who to turn to that can deliver fiction nearly as good I have read the obvious choices ie hermann hesse,paul auster,knut falbakken these are great writers can anyone recommend any other writer who writes in a similar style
