Can anyone recommend a Simpsons fansite?

As a longtime Simpsons fanatic, iv'e been thinking about becomming a member on some Simpsons fansite forum for some time now. Just about the only one iv'e previously been visiting somewhat regularly (without posting) is No Homer Club, but i dont think i want to start posting there because the moderators seem kinda jerkassy, there are a lot of grammar nazis, and showing rudeness to other forumites seem to be almost a reqirement among the members there. To put it short, the place has a very negative attitude. It's kinda hard to explain, but if you go read a few threads there, you'll know what i mean...

So now im looking for another active, large Simpsons fanforum to become a part of. And preferably one where moderators and other members wont turn it into contest to insult you as much as possible for merely making a grammatic error.

I would really be thankfull if someone here could recommend one. Thanks in advance!
 
Um, not sure where you were in the forum, but while the NHC is rather divided in its discussion, the problems that you have experienced are pretty much non-existent. Grammar is never really a problem unless you're absolutely atrocious (which even here would be looked down upon), so I have no idea where you're getting that from.

And the mods are anything but "jerkassy", in fact all of them are the nicest people in the forums and will do anything to help. The NHC is probably one of the most lenient places when it comes to moderating, much less than rabroad, where the same kind of idiotic behavior would be cause for concern.

I'll agree, that compared to rabroad and many other forums, the board is a tad more harsh, but that's only because of the general bitterness some of the older members have towards those younger and act less mature than they can stomach. From your post, yes, despite grammatical errors, you seem to have it together, so I could see them accepting you. Just don't act like a ten-year-old and you'll be fine.

I'm saying this not just because I want to defend the forum, but because there literally is nowhere else. The last other Simpsons forum I'm aware of has been turned into an off-topic forum that shares many things in common with the NHC. So I'm afraid you're out of luck, bro. Just post on the NHC, play it cool and don't mind dissent if you get it. You'll be fine.

That actually sounds good to me. Iv'e been pretty much a typical "cranky old bastard who wants to damn all post-season 9 Simpsons episodes to heck"-type of Simpsons fan for the last decade or so. And frankly, iv'e gotten tired of it, and these days i'd much rather discuss the show with people that has at least a shread of enthusiasm left for it than with the old "Mike Scully sucks!" crowd.
