Can anyone recommend a good book about the history of religion?

I'm not looking for a book on a specific religion, but rather one about the evolution of religion over the past several thousand years, in all parts of the world. Thanks.
 
Karen Armstrong's "The History of God"

It is really an examination of the origins of the Abrahamic
faiths. I found it quite interesting and some may be surprised that I remain a Catholic in light of it.
