isn't this a bit arbitrary? if you don't have any ideas, why don't you just look at flash stuff, and pick a pre-designed tattoo? Most good tattoo artists will help you design your tattoo, if you come to them with an idea. Anyway, its on your skin forever, telling everyone who you are- I would think long and hard about what I want and seek out just the right artist, who can design it for just the right part of my body. It matters what body type you are, where its going, how light or dark your skin is, what style you like, how much you want to spend and how big you want it (the two go hand in hand in regards to tattoos.)
