Hi.
My Dad recently bought an XR3i Cabrolet Mk 4 with EFI injection. This car has only done 300-500 miles last year and has been garaged at all other times. The car is in beautiful condition and runs perfectly alright going along but when breaking normally and idling at traffic lights and roundabouts, it wavers between 1000 and 600 rpm erratically and lumpy. It has new spark plugs and battery, engine earth and chassis earth are ok. I have checked air filter and oil breather pipes and they are all clear and black breather filter from rockabox cover is also clear. Has anyone got any idea where else to look next or what to do? It starts perfect everytime and runs ok on automatic choke. When choke goes off lumpiness occurs. I wonder if the car is running too weak on fuel mixture. Has anyone got any idea where and/or how to alter the mixture? Thanks.
