Can anyone help with a 02 Avalanche stereo install?

I put a pioneer cd player in my 02 avalanche and when I got it together, it came on and worked but no sound came from the speakers. Then I wired each speaker to the cd player, and it worked for about ten minutes then the sound went away again. I don't know what to do now.
 
i had a radio installed in my 01 tahoe and the speakers would worked randomly. i took it too a car audio place and and they said it was the onstar. they had to override the onstar to get the radio to work. it took like 10-15 min and was 20 bucks.
