Hi, last year I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. I also had some other health problems but they have been resolved. In Septeraber I was diagnosed with GAD, general anxiety disorder. Over the years, I would worry about various health problems....normal things....but 2010 my worries escalated to where I was constantly worrying about "whatever was going on for that day".

My primary care doctor, gyn sent me to a doctor that diagnosed me with the GAD and they were not surprised by this at all. In Septeraber, I started having queasiness for about a month. My doctor was not concerned with this at all and thought that it was left over stress from my daughter's wedding in August. They told me to take Prilosec for a few weeks and said that if it didn't go away that they would eventually want me to have an upper GI. Well, it went away...which could be because I stopped taking my calcium supplements as I thought that could be the problem ... or .... I had purchased Splenda for my coffee and thought that could be the problem. It was odd that after I stopped using both of these things my queasiness went away.

I take medication for my thyroid, clomazapam for anxiety (just started taking 1 mg - divided in half - 1/2 for am and the other for pm)....started taking it about a month ago. I also take 2 calcium pills twice a day and because my vitatmin d was down to 24, am taking 4,000 units a day. Also, a multi vitamin and omega 3 pill. Well, the queasiness has come back and I am wondering if any of you have experienced queasiness from taking any of this...such as calcium or clomazapam?

I have also had soreness in my calf muscles and various parts of my lower legs....it comes and goes but is nothing to stop me from doing anything. This has been going on since Septeraber. I am going to my doctor for a physical in a few weeks and hopefully will get some answers. I have been to him regarding my legs but he wasn't concerned and told me to start stretching more. I can't believe I have been diagnosed with GAD....and how much worrying I do about my health. I just want my old life back.

I apolagize if you have read some of my story on other sites but was hoping to get some answers or suggestions. Thanking you in advance.
