I am trying to find out the name of this film. I don't know the name of the actors/actresses etc. All I know is a bit of the plot.
It is B/W.
A couple have a little girl. I think they have adopted her. She has a part in the Christmas play. She has to pull the star along the back of the stage.
She trips over and the star goes shooting across. Which upsets her.
Sadly she dies. When the couple go to the Christmas Play the following year they see a little boy taking their daughters part.
It is a Black and White weepie they used to show around this time of year. I am 44 and I remember sitting with my mum when I was very young with tears in our eyes.
I would love to find out the title of this movie to see if they have it on DVD or they ever show it on TV. Nobody in my family can remember the title or stars. I have trawled though IMDB.com, but without knowing the stars etc I have not found it.
